Training Program

Genesee Dance Theatre helps kids uncover their potential! Our classes are professional, developmentally appropriate and challenging but non-competitive.

Our training program focuses on building a solid foundation of technique and artistry in every student. We offer preschool dance classes and five levels of classical ballet instruction for ages 6 to adult.

We also offer modern, contemporary, musical theatre, audition coaching and Pilates instruction to produce well-rounded dancers prepared to pursue college dance programs or professional careers.

Performances

Since 2014, Genesee Dance Theatre has brought student performers together with professional dancers to produce classical and contemporary dance performances. We perform at libraries, schools and other venues in rural areas of the Genesee Valley and frequently collaborate with other arts organizations, including Shake on the Lake, the Arts Council for Wyoming County and the David A. Howe Public Library. Students in our training program also perform an annual dance concert in June of each year.
