Genesee Dance Theatre is an educational dance company and ballet school in Perry, NY. Our programs help performers develop confidence, elegance and strength in an inclusive studio environment.

We are unique in our focus on classical ballet and emphasis on helping students learn “real world” skills like team work, problem solving and long-term focus through our training.

  • Hi, I’m Sarah. After training in classical ballet and musical theater, then dancing professionally, I discovered my passion for teaching. After moving to rural NY, I was inspired to create a dance company and school that would offer local families the kind of dance experiences I was fortunate to have growing up in city. Genesee Dance Theatre was established in 2014 and relocated to Perry in 2016.

    Passing on the language and discipline of ballet to new generations is my calling. I love watching dancers transform into competent and confident artists ready to take on the world. Read More.
